Located near the SFO International Airport, this 26.8-acre campus serves the strong demand for high quality lab and research space. Slated to be developed over three phases, the project includes 2.5 million square feet of connected 6-story life science buildings, as well as a mix of surface and subterranean parking. A two story amenity building and a three-story incubator building with sky gardens is planned to serve the entire campus with a mix of outdoor cafes, fitness centers, wellness facilities, conference and collaboration spaces, and indoor and outdoor gaming areas, exhibit spaces, lounge areas and gathering spaces. The project will be linked to vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian transportation via existing and improved connections. Opportunities for art will be provided at key access points, and in connected courtyards and green roofs. Nature-based art structures will also be incorporated throughout the site to provide research and lab workers opportunities to decompress, recharge and inspire. Sustainability goals for the project include LEED gold and WELL certification and will incorporate South San Francisco’s ongoing sustainability goals.
